Hi there, I am Amelia
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family, and what began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Relocating to United Kingdom wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly became something much bigger.
The first months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the job. Yet gradually, routines formed. We discovered places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Pebble Canvas Trail
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
